The hardest lesson I learned is that sooner or later your "friends" will turn on you. Never would have believed it.

The friends of to-day are the enemies of to-morrow.

Besides, friends turned foes can hurt you way more than enemies, since they know your weaknesses.

Also, an enemy of an enemy isn't always a friend.

Probably the number one thing time has taught me is the great disparity there typically is between official reality and actual reality...when it comes to issues or events of great significance, either current or historical.
