Never smoked at work, not even on break. There were outdoor smoking areas, but I'd rather walk than smoke during a work break since it seemed to release more tension and also key my memory on all the various things I was supposed to remember related to work. Also, the area provided really nice walking trails, paths, etc.

Trails and paths at work!? Sounds like a dream.

I smoke the same thing when I work as when I don't work. I work from home so take it with a grain of salt but I can't imagine smoking something different just because I'm working.

Very stringent "NO SMOKING INDOORS/ IN ENCLOSED PREMISES" tobacco laws Downunder.
How times have changed.
When my grandfather was in hospital after a stroke, I lit his smokes for him while he lay in his bed.

The only place where I can recall not being allowed to smoke was in church.

Public hospitals now suck big time. Drive past one at any time, day or night, and you'll see patients standing out on the street, many in hospital gowns with an IV pole, having a smoke.

My small local hospital run by the Catholic health system, turn a blind eye to patients smoking within hospital grounds because they actually give a shit about patients safety.

Back in the school, I used to work at this small assembly line making circuit boards for IBM PC. We were allowed to smoke. Marlboro Red all the way. If I was working and allowed to smoke, it would be something smooth and mellow. Peaty Kentucky or something similar would be my choice.

My years 7 and 8 high school was one of the last all boys public schools.
Most smoked the cheaper brands of cigarettes. IIRC, Winfield was probably the most popular. [Aussies will remember the Paul Hogan Winfield ads]

When I moved to a co-ed high school into year 9, just about everyone smoked Marlboro Red. [No pussy mild version back then]
Me, I smoked Peter Stuyvesant, Rothmans or B&H.
