I like to switch it up between maybe 3 different blends. A burley, vaper and English type. But for more intense work something with some burley, Kentucky or both is a solid bet. A cool burning smoke that has some decent strength and tastes great no matter how you puff on it.

If it’s a somewhat sedentary job like driving or seeding some veggies in seed trays then a slow burning vaper flake is nice to have around.

then again it’s nice to have an English to…. When you wanna switch it up.

But if I had to choose 1….well I’m more of a Kentucky guy, but virginia tobaccos just don’t get old or wear you down as much in terms of flavour. The subtle nuances and steady progression of flavour during a bowl keep it easy but interesting. But you gotta smoke it slow! Which is probably the case as “day long”cadence is usually slower than “quick smoke at my lunch break” cadence. Ok my pipes done. End rant.

I home office every so often, and every so often I light a pipe ... I usually don't like to clench a pipe while I am concentrated with work, but it works sometimes. I don't have a preference ... whatever feels fine on the spot.

In the semi-rural NorthEastern USA
at work I smoke mainly Five Brothers and Semois. All on break and I need something stronger so my smaller pipe can give me some nicotine. Where if I smoke a more standard strength blend in my tiny pipe it will taste good but the nicotine won't really be felt.
