Hello again,

This post is to show you guys Lee's pipe that he used in "For A Few Dollars More".

Two distinctive pipes were used during filming. Both were Vienna Meerschaums. This particular pipe was used in the famous "Mortimer strikes a match" scene, and in the scene with Carlo Simi in the Bank of El Paso. This particular pipe was also used in the film "Day of Anger" in the scene where Frank meets "Wild Jack".

I have tried my best to show the screen-matches, but it is difficult to exactly replicate due to lighting, positioning, and other variables.

As I have stated in my other thread featuring the Plymouth from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly", both of these pipes I purchased directly from his family.

Enjoy!

I assume it's in the showing the current newspaper with a hostage kind of way (maybe you can provide enlargements of your fingertips and a copy of your prints so someone can authenticate them in the photos - come on, give it a whorl, lol). Best to ignore and hopefully this thread will remain positive and well, just remain.

Thanks for sharing.

Sorry, SeanM, without an ID retina scan of you and all members of the Van Cleef family, plus DNA tests of the pipe's exterior surfaces, plus sworn statements witnessed by the full panel of US Superior Court judges, plus a signed daily log of the actor's whereabouts and list of his possessions on set at the times the movies were being filmed, this forum will have no other option than to conclude you are an aura-harvesting scammer who is trying to make a name for himself in both the movie prop collecting world as well as the pipe collecting one.

I think everyone needs to lighten up on the provenance, or start demanding the same from Jim when he posts his William Conrad Charatans😉

@SeanM456, just roll with it. It’s just the usual unusual sounding off. Many comments are “inside jokes” and or light hearted ribbing. Ignore the small sprinkling of self important skeptics and realize many appreciate you sharing. Welcome to the forum.

….. now if you’ve got a line on Clint’s cigarillos, that’d be something 😉

I encouraged Sean to post on this forum because I knew that there are many here who value the information he has that he is willing to share. He is not a pipe smoker nor is he interested in smoking pipes. But he is interested in the questions about LVC’s pipes and props and that is the overlap with us. I also understand why he wants to protect his privacy given his status as a collector of rates and valuable props.

I am thankful for his sharing. The fact is he could have kept this to him self. It's amazing how many of these artifacts end up in anonymous collections never to be seen again.

We like pictures! Thats what im here for atleast! :ROFLMAO:
I posted pictures of the pipes. That's good enough. I don't need to take a selfie of me with one, which is what he was asking.

People are still trying to gauge if I'm a scammer or if I'm the person in my profile picture.

I am not a scammer, it's me in my profile picture, and I have nothing left to prove. I do also think it's interesting that the person asking for a selfie of me holding the pipe doesn't have a picture of himself as his profile picture, and was questioning who I was previously in another forum.

Based on this thread maybe not overplay that aspect? That thread was closed, move forward, ignore the noise (of which there is pretty much none in this thread or the other one that you opened).

No, I completely understand what you mean. I just felt I should clarify that based on the response.

I'm not trying to start trouble in any thread, nor was I responsible for the direction that other post took.

I am moving forward, but I remember those who took things in the wrong direction. Sometimes, things need clarification.

I am going to reach out to maybe do a podcast or discuss these pipes with Pipes Magazine.

I don't have his cigarillos, but I do have his duster coat from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".

I bought it from PropStore last year.
