Got a concerned email from something I sold on the bay.
Shipped on 11/30, and tracking shows it took eleven days to move about 5 miles away to the next PO.

A snail (traveling at an average of 0.029 mph) would have made it there, and half way back again, in 11 days.
(Granted, thats the speed of an unladen land snail. I don't have the numbers for cargo bearing snails, weather conditions, or the aerodynamic considerations at play)

(I know they are swamped and its a pandemic, but I can't stop having fun with this)
Meanwhile, a meer shipped from Turkey on Monday is out for delivery today!

Dreaded USPS Loop In Hell

The package left Jamaica, NY on 12-10 and arrived back there again, five days later. Then it left the building once again the same day. I'll have to wait for the next update to see WTF is going on here. This is on par with waiting at the Houston Space Center as the Apollo Orbiter goes into re-entry. Will it burn up and disappear? Or will it be trapped in orbit, going around and around and around...forever?
