It must be getting close to the holidays. I can finally open the house up all day and be comfortable...
I thought the question was: "What is the answer to everything?" Could have a faulty memory, though.
“The number 42 is, in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything", calculated by an enormous supercomputer named Deep Thought over a period of 7.5 million years. Unfortunately, no one knows what the question is.”
Several years ago, when I joined the forum it was to find some answers. Turns out there is only one answer, 42.
Too bad we’ll be destroyed here on earth before we do our job figure out the question!
Sometime after the registration closes, the magical process will begin. It starts with Dan drinking an entire bottle of cough syrup and smoking a bowl of Captain Black Cinnamon Pretzel. Then all the registrants names are scribbled down on scraps of paper, then piled into a big mess. Dan then painstakingly randomly matches up names according to the Rules of International Secret Santa-ing, which requires at least 3 minutes of deep thought before finalizing each match. When all the matches are made and emails sent out, the scraps of paper are torn into little shreds and made into bedding. At this point Dan settles into his shredded paper nest and hibernates until next October when he is needed again.
The question, according to the mice, is:
“What is 6x7?”
But we really did need that interstellar bypass.

Actually, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” radio series came first. Based on that success, Adams wrote the book. It’s a wonderful waste of otherwise perfectly good time to listen to.
