Oh I totally agree on everyone of age and that in the US legally should have the right to vote. My issue was with just landowners voting and saying if only one group gets the right to vote (which is wrong) it should be Military current and past.
I agree with the 555 being for the party and not the people. I wish the Lawers would stay in the courts and the people contolled the government.

Daveinlax, anyone who collects disability like that isn't a true tea-partier or true conservative. I can't really talk about the tax burden on myself, as I'm a non-working college student, but I can see that taxes are too damn high on everyone else. I always think of my father: he worked fifty to sixty hour weeks consistently, and occasionally hundred hour weeks. He did this because he loved his work, his family, and the country. However, the country obviously didn't (and doesn't) love him, based on the greed it shows in taking almost half of the money my father works so hard for.

We need the flat tax, a sane 10 or 15 percent and nothing else. Period.

And there is only one politician who I believe to have the moral integrity, the vision, and the drive to actually work for this-Ron Paul.

The Sheeple will never vote him in, he makes way too much sense and he could actually fix the system.

I think we, as gentlemen, can be at diametrically opposed ends of the political spectrum and yet still have a calm and rational political discussion. This isn't 4chan. There's mutual respect here.
I actually liked Ron Paul too. And I do agree with a lot of what he says. However after following him for a little while I've started to wonder how serious he is about his policy.
I mean, If Obama can't shut down one military facility, with a questionable history, that's situated in Cuba of all places, I have a hard time believing Paul will get very far with his whole "let's get rid of the FBI, IRS and CIA" thing.

Although I wouldn't argue against the second statement, I think this discussion has run it's course and I've had enough of breaking my own rule against political discussions.
