The Sweetest Virginia (Flake) You've Had?

I'm interested in getting some suggestions for pure virginia tobacco that is very sweet in taste. I am thinking first and foremost of pure virginia flake, but other suggestions are also welcome (but virginia based tobacco only, and not heavily cased or aromatics). So, please let me know your own experience of (pure) virginia flakes that you think are the most sweet in flavour profile.

Gonna save you a lot of time and money. Newminster 400 Superior Flake. It’s bulk, it’s cheap and it holds its own with any other sweet Virginias out there. I’ve gone through a dozen blends looking for a nice sweet cool burning Virginia and this dollar for dollar was as good if not better than most.

Personally, I like the sweetness in Marlin Flake, and I wish it could be made without perique. The same goes for St James flake that I like. If I would find something similar but without perique, I would be happy. And yes, I know Marlin Flake has black cavendish, so if you also have suggestions for virginia/cavendish, I'm open for it.

I like sweet Virginia it’s just my thing. I have a ton of marlin flake, McConnell Red Virginia, Orlik Golden Slice, etc., they are all good but the 400 is just a good sweet flake. Shoot me your address and I’ll send you some to try, i just got 5 pounds.

Thanks! That is actually my latest addition to my wishlist. Unforturnately, it is probably impossible to find it in Europe. Seems like I would have to travel overseas to get what I'm seeking. Or pay a courier to bring me some well sought for tobacco from the States to Sweden

Many here would gladly ship you tobacco, and I’m sure many here having trading partners in other countries and they exchange hard-to-find blends across the pond. Unless you have tobacco sniffing dogs like they do in Australia you would be fine.

I'm up for it, and I'm pretty sure they don't have dogs sniffing for ordinary tobacco. Good tobacco is very hard to come by in Sweden these days. In the US the situation is totally different, you guys can get good stuff in bulk for very affordable prices (in Sweden you pay twice, or even third the price). So if someone feel like extending their kind pipe smoking spirit over the pond to trade some tobacco and save a starving soul, you can just shot me a message.

My favorite is Capstan Navy Cut.

There are other, Newminster 400 mentioned above for example, that are nice and sweet but have a savory spice touch to them as well.

Although you said no aromatics I'd suggest Dan Tobacco Sweet Vanilla Honeydew. Other than sweetness and vanilla there's not a bunch of other goofy stuff added.

Both should be easy to obtain in your location.

SG Full Virginia Flake and Best Brown Flake have always tasted sweet to me. Dunhill/Peterson Flake also has a great natural sweetness.

I have stopped using sugar so Iam sensitive to ultra sweet blends.I find Newminster too sweet.FVF is just right but it is hard to come by in Europe.HH Virginia flake is a naturally sweet blend and is available at Estervals.
