I like the squats too, but I have a few narrow bullies that look balanced, IMO. Yeh, there are some real dogs among the narrows, but if you keep looking there are some lookers among them too. The squats look fabulous, but smoke too fast for me. I need depth for a good long smoke. I also have some that are a cross between a brandy and a bully, brandydog? Anyways, they are my favorites amongst the dogs. They have depth and balance. IMO

Are there bulldogs with square shanks? I've seen only diamond shaped ones. Small distinction, but a bulldog bowl with a square shank would be what?

That's OK I don't like squat bulldogs or straight bulldogs. Has to be large bent bulldog with tapered stem.

I just placed an order with M Parks yesterday for a #5 Squat straight bulldog with a mix blast/smooth finish using meteorite material for a sparkley space appearance inspired by my love for astronomy :) I'm also thinking about adding neodymium so that during breaks the pipe can stick to metal

Unfortunately I own only one as they seem hard to come by these days. I have seen them referred to as "Haiti", no idea if that´s their regular shape name?

stV, I've been looking for a Dunhill squat straight in a sz5 for over a year... And through the big dealers to. For my trouble I've gotten jack. I don't get why it's so hard to find, such a classic yet somehow uncommon shape. WTF?

Hey Nate, check out Al Pascia. They have a shell briar 5117 in stock. Great vendor and super fast shipping to the US.
