Congratulations. You and your family will be rewarded for your kindness when you rescued that poor dog. You will not be sorry. If I had my life to do over, I'd have a dog by my side, always.
Enjoy your new adoption....the dog, after all, picked you.
Good luck,

Frank

Duane, this is exactly how we ended up with our cat. Same thing. Show an animal in need some kindness and care and they'll give it back in spades. Congrats!

My wife keeps saying that, for some reason. We don't have a dog...

Some little fluffy dog keeps bustling through our yard. When I try to approach him to see if he has a tag, he trots away. He can disappear fast. He's been eating some bread put out for the crows. So I put some water out for the dog, and the crows came and sipped that. I went down to a neighbor who has a similar fluffy dog to see if it was his, and the guy and his dog came to the door, but he did agree to put my "find," and phone number on the neighborhood website. No calls yet. The little guy has fleas, I'd say from his scratching, probably from the resident squirrels which always have fleas. Hope the dog finds his way home. 'Just don't want to call animal control, which would likely spell doom. Cute mutt, and a likely adoptee with a flea treatment and a grooming job. We have three cats, but I keep a leash for lost dogs, which I have used from time to time.
