On a whim, I decided to try a couple of Author shaped pipes and take advantage of tobaccopipes.com 15% off sale which ends today. I ordered two Rossi Authors, a Notte 320 and 321 to try out, if I like them I'll move up to the higher grade Savinelli pipes. I've read through several of the old Rossi pipe threads and have a pretty good idea of what I'm buying. Have you enjoyed yours? Any tips or tricks to smoking them? I've always smoked small to medium bowl billiards and I understand these are big wide bowl pipes and in a way I'm looking forward to how burleys might smoke in them.
Have any of you guys ever smoke burley in one? I see a lot of people use them for English and Virginia blends, but I'm primarily a burley smoker and hope they don't disappoint. Anyway, any recommendations, suggestions or advice will be much appreciated. Please feel free to share your experience owning and smoking them. Pro or Con. Thanks again.
