I'm an electronic technician for the railroad. My office/frame room is protected by an HFC-125 fire suppression system which costs $13,000 to refill a tank when discharged, so needless to say I can't smoke in my office. The warehouse section of the facility is also "smoke free", yet they run diesel engines, weld, paint, grind and commit many other air quality offenses inside the facility. As a result I ignore the "smoke free" stigma and openly puff away when out and about the warehouse. I also have about 70 miles of territory in the field that runs parallel with I-95 and drive often in my daily routine. I smoke at will in my vehicle. One benefit I have noticed since taking up the pipe is that I am not as susceptible to road rage as I once was. Coincidence? I think not. I am thankful that I can smoke while working.
