I have got to get to New Orleans someday. The history, the people and of course the food! Enjoy.
I haven't been there in 20 years at least. Cool and creepy stuff. Do they still have the big jar with live leeches in it?
Sigh...I gotta get back to work on my time machine project.
I forgot about the pharmacy museum! The ol' lady and I are planning a day in the Quarter next week, maybe we'll check it out then.
That reminds me...every Wednesday Audubon has free admission to the zoo, Aquarium, Insectarium, or planetarium for Orleans Parish residents and up to 4 guests. We did the Insectarium a few weeks ago, and we both really enjoyed it.
Can I help out in exchange for a trip? I need to see those old men of physick; unlike to-day's medicasters those guys seemed to have the right ideas.
Lots of hidden gems in that city. Any history buffs should allow a whole day for their exceptional

It started out by accident and I haven't worked out the bugs yet:
love that place. The city and the Museum. They're both incredible. I still think New Orleans is the culinary capital of American cities. It's the only city I think a trip where one just ate at the many amazing restaurants and didn't see anything else would be a good and worthy trip.
My first visit to New Orleans was in 1970. Going on Bourbon Street was like a trip to the Wild West! It’s gotten pretty tame since then!
