The One That Got Away

It's been a few weeks but I still find myself going back to admire it. I'm sure you know the feeling.

I very much like the shape of this pipe, but in reading the details I notice that the pipe is quite heavy for my taste. Of course it has an acrylic stem which I'm now seeing is de riguer for Italian pipes.
Still, the shape is beautiful and it looks like it would hold quite well in the hand.

My Nording did that to me, but I'm lucky, the shop I frequent doesn't move the higher end pipes as fast. (It's a college city)

I've always liked a natural.... it would be perfect for me with a bowl a bit higher.....

I tend towards heavy pipes since I can't clench do to having certain key teeth pulled in preparation for braces when I was younger. My first bicuspids to be exact. And I also find a large warm pipe in the hand pleasing.

I really love that shape and the finish is quite cool as well! Maybe it will surface again someday? You never know...
