As a Jew who just finished breaking my Yom Kippur fast, it makes perfect sense to just go straight into Christmas.

On March 18, I received an email from Mike explaining why he was "stepping away from the forum for a little bit."
He and I have emailed back and forth a few times since then, including about a week ago. He and his family sound to be doing well, but I am not under the impression that intends to come back to the forum at this point (perhaps I'm mistaken, but I have not been led to believe otherwise).
As far as I know, I would not plan on Mike leading a Secret Santa this year.

IIRC, pipe-smoking wasn't really working for him anymore. I can see losing interest in the hobby forums after that.
Oh man - if this is true, I am sorry to hear this, the Christmas exchange is a great highlight for my year!
