I wonder if Jon Cooper remembers last year when he had 7 men on the ice and scored. Seven, count them at the 1:00 mark. IMO, last nights game was won fair and square.

I really dislike any controversies in pro sports. No matter whos side it's on. I like good clean and fair games and hate it if its decided by a bad call or a missed call.

My take after the tying goal in the 3rd was that the crowd practically shut down in the arena. After that it was Colorado hitting the afterburners especially once it went to OT. They were a swarm.

Incredible playing for sure. The two best teams in the league.

It still astounds me that NHL hockey isn't all that popular. I'm 65 and still play ice hockey in a Mens Beer League. I love the sport, nothing comes close to it. Football? Pfft!

#22, I play Left winger. Colorado Murder Hornets, opening face off. Average age 20-45. There's a few of us old geezers but we still keep up and can dish it out...and take it.

I'm 53 and I'm on the ice once or twice a week myself. The 20 somethings keep "getting faster" but I do OK ????

Yeah, and then you have the Cup win with them being millions over the cap. I have nothing against The Lightening, but they have had some pretty good fortune over the past few years, the whole "We were SCREWED!!!" talking point is kind of falling on deaf ears (unless you are from Tampa or St. Louis).

I'm still scratching my head why Francouz has not been in the nets. The guy was 6 and 0 coming into the TB series. And Keumper has let in soft goals in every single game.

IMO, TB has the edge right now.

I also thought the refs made some bad calls and missed calls. But good teams overcome that. The slash/chop/hook on Makur on a break was for all to see. Avs had plenty of chances where they usually score but didn't get it done.

Vegas Baby!!!
I’m pretty neutral in who I’m for in the final, but if the Bolts win game 6, the Avs will fold like they did when Vegas came back last year from 2 down.

McKinnon is a control freak and he is not exactly adverse favorable.

His penalty at the end was inexcusable but predictable.

I’m not concerned with the refs. I want a fast physical game. For those upset by a call or two, there are at least one or two the other way.

Two things I don't understand and it drives me nuts:

1. Wearing your helmet with the chin strap so loose it comes off easily. How often do we see a guy lose his helmet (because it's not worn properly) and the dumbass has to leave the ice (or scramble around to regain it and pop it back on. Which is a huge benefit to the opposing team. And what good is it doing just resting on the idiots head as far as reducing concussion injuries? Sorry, If I were a coach I'd make sure all my players had their chinstraps strapped on tight. This is just stupidity.

Here's the rule: A player on the ice whose helmet comes off during play shall be assessed a minor penalty if he does not exit the playing surface, or retrieve and replace his helmet properly on his head (with or without his chin strap fastened), within a reasonable period of time.

2. And why don't players wear full cages or full clear shields ? And the idiotic rule that if you get whacked in the face and it draws blood it's a major penalty. Even if it is truly accidental which btw does happen. Primitive logic to say the least. Wear full face protection and that would put an end to almost all incidents of sticks to the face.

For Christs sake, buckle up the helmet tight and wear full face protection. It drives me nuts. I wear a full shield and have no problems seeing the puck nor does it fog up. And I feel pretty darn safe when a stick or puck clobbers into the shield.
