I know there's a thread on this forum discussing the changes in Carter Hall and SRW, but seems like the new PA was discussed somewhere here.
It's a shame really. I'm fortunate to be stocked up on my favorite tubs.
I find the new stuff to be good but it lacks the sweetness of its former self.
Yes I was. Smoked a lot of it years ago. It's been a while but I can remember the taste to a T. I should try the new stuff just for fun.
Sweetness is the main thing the old stuff has going for it. Without that I may drop it down a half a star as well.
I'm going to order a tub and see. I would just get a pouch, but I know there's usually quite a difference between the two.

I should get a tub of the Dominican stuff. Smoked pounds of old version over the years and sort of did a 'shoulder shrug' when they moved production and just considered it done and gone.
I think the pouches may have gone away with the production move. I haven't seen those in a while.

I've got a tub of the DR stuff going, and it tastes good to me - but It had been too long since I had smoked any to give a fair comparison.
