The National Garlic Festival

It's a stinky job, but someone has to do it.
Actually I'm looking forward to it!

That's awesome. I love everything garlic. Recipes never call for enough. I always double or triple what it called for.

We have a guy set up at our Saturday market who sells 'black garlic'. I bought one and it's good stuff - I used it in risotto the other day instead of normal garlic.

Both my wife and I love a good garlic dish, luckily, of which she makes quite a few.

Ah, so you folks have preempted the Gilroy Garlic Festival! That's fine.
I went one year, and swore I'd never go to another. Crowded, hot, dusty.. But I did get to try some interesting dishes! Garlic Ice cream, for one. No, not worth a detour....

Garlic Festival will always mean Gilroy to me (but I never attended). But it looks like it is gone for good, at least as it used to be.

So it appears. But I didn't know that the Fresno area out produces the Central Coast by quite a bit, until this morning!
