Just so you know, gunnar, that cool weather we had for a few days. That was a total and complete freak of nature. Never in my life have I seen temperatures as cool as 63 in the morning and high of 77 in July. I think it was nature teasing us like a cat does a mouse before finally killing it. As you can see it's hot again. I think we're going to get hammered with 125 degree heat... ok I don't think that's possible, but then again nothing, and I mean NOTHING would surprise me anymore.

Gunnar, welcome to the Great State of Texas! anthonyrosenthal isn't pulling your leg...it's gonna get hot! If you find yourself needing a cool down, I very highly recommend the No Label Brewery in Katy. Their porter is one of the best I've ever had.

Copy that Igloo. I will see if I can convince the wife to stop in for some Texan pipe hospitality

When I lived in Houston I would go to a place called the cigar vault. It is a cigar lounge of the belt way. Really nice spot. I think they sell pipe tobacco as well but I am unsure cause I only smoked cigars at the time. Now I live south of corpus near baffin bay. Better fishing but no tobacco stores.

You check out fitzgeralds in the heights. It has got a little trendy now but it is still a very cool and historical venue. I used to spend every weekend there back in the 90,s that was the hay day of the music scene in houston. Ill bet your loving the traficc living in richmond and driving to katy. I used to live in katy and drive to baytown.

Yeah well, Houston IS traffic. Congrats again on all the big life changes the last couple of years, and glad you are enjoying it here. You should get together with the Houston Pipe Club, a lot of great people in the group.
