I couldn't afford a proper pipe cabinet, nor did I have the room for one, and I also wanted a way to display some of my statuary to offset all the baby pictures of nephews and nieces and their children, so I came up with this: A console table with beautiful hand made pipe racks by jkrug, a mural sixed poster of the original paperback mosaic cover of The Lord of the Rings, which I once owned and found a forum member who was able to make a jpeg photo resolution-heavy enough to be able to be expanded six feet; then the final touch of adding the statuary, like the Cold Girl, St. Michael (on the far right), and a rendition of Botticelli's Venus. Above it all is a terra cotta sun disk I got a few years ago while visiting a friend in Nevada. I rather like the allover effect.

Nice setup Sparrow.
On another note, am I the only one who thought of Frank Zappa when you read the thread title?

I did indeed want to make a cabinet that would display both pipes and statues, but find a craftsman to make the cabinet at a rassonable price seemed impossible. I think this solution, however, worked out well.

Nudes and pipes just seem to go together. So to speak.
Well done, sir.

I was thinking of the Aesop story for the title line--had to really stretch the brain cells to understand the Zappa allusion.
