Nobody wants to know what's in them. They look sad and repulsive, and they're dirt cheap. From a self-subscribed Foodies point of view, they should never be bought, eaten or discussed. Never-the-less, there is an average of approximately 1,517,808. of them made sold and eaten every single day. My weak spot in the food world, I'm embarrassed to say...

Jack in the Box Tacos

What is your Achillies heel in the food world?
Screw Taco Bell; they canceled their Tostadas.
My guilty pleasure is the microwave Red Hot Burritos at the Valero gas stations. At least one a month….
And then there is the taco truck behind the dirty book store,…..awesome tacos and Consommé de Chivo !!

People who spend hundreds of dollars on colon cleanses have never heard of Taco ? Bell’s $4.79 special.

Haven’t seen a Jack in the Box since childhood.

But we have plenty of truly authentic small Mexican family restaurants. —I like the lingua (tongue) and the Cessina (salted beef) best. Mexican sausage is also good choice in a taco.

But my Achilles heel dish has always been Chili Relleno!

It is a good thing for me that the nearest Jack-in the-Box is 4 hrs away, because I too absolutely love their tacos! ?

I'll save my story about the $20/40 taco trip with my fraternity brother for another time. ?

I wouldn't eat anything that came from Jack-in-the-Box. My wife's family is from Mexico and when they decide to do Tacos I am standing first in line.
It's the ONLY thing I eat from Jack in the Box. Like I said, I don't eat them because they're good. I'd be first in line with you for REAL tacos!

It's mysteriously twisted... the want and need for JITB tacos... like I said, it's just a sad addiction. But after drinking, and you only got $5. in your pocket you can get 6 of these things and they hit a spot in your belly that I can't quite explain.

never had anything from there. Never even seen one in the wild. Though my weaknesses with food are many. Frankly I am as likely to go gourmet and health, as I am to dig into some double cheeseburgers from McDonalds (who knew Scottish food was like that ;p )

I'm more of a midnight spaghetti guy or perhaps a breakfast hash fryup. I've never been to Jack in the Box and won't set foot near one, due to the food poisoning deaths from all of those years ago. People get sick from fast food all the time, but I haven't heard many stories where people died from it. Y'all can have it.

I checked, and I was wrong. I only remembered seeing it on tv the 90s. I would’ve sworn it happened in ct, but it apparently was a big national story in 93 from the west coast. Hundreds of people got sick, and some children died according to Wikipedia.
Well, that's just horrible.

I remember the Jack in the Box E. Coli outbreak. That was followed by the gigantic US advertising campaign to rehabilitate itself, with the outsized ping pong ball-head CEO character. And more food regulations from the feds.

About once per quarter, I am drawn to the closest Subway for a meatball sub, on Italian Herb & Cheese bread, toasted with provolone, add onions, black olives, sliced banana peppers and a shake of oregano.

I shove that 12 inches in my face so hard and fast, I make porn stars blush.

Then, I return to normal...

This is my independant Mexican restaurant "test" dish.

I always order it as my first meal there. If you can get the proper, tempura-like batter finish on a stuffed chile, I then trust you to perform an array of kitchen operations.

With Chinese restaurants, it's the egg drop soup by which I judge.

A fat man never lacks vocation! ?

That's interesting. I use cheese enchiladas for test dish of Mexican food and Hot and sour soup for my Chinese test. For the same reasons

This is me with a McD's Filet O Fish. I probably eat one twice a year. Sometimes I just get the urge. Burger King Whoopers too. The last BK Whooper I ate was about 2 months ago. I was running errands and I needed a quick lunch. That BK Whooper urge is now out of my system.

I don't eat them because they're good...I just have a taste for it at that particular time.
