When I come back inside from a long session with or even after a few bowls in general of unpolite blends I'll grab some minty stuff and brush up then grab a few Ricola and change my shirt. Then the wife doesn't say I smell like an ashtray. Which I'm not sure is a compliment or not. Still deciding.

What's your airing out method? Or do you even use one?

I have a "smoking shirt" that goes on over whatever I'm wearing. So clean-up is 3 steps:

- remove said smoking shirt
- wash hands and face with soap and water
- mouthwash

I'm a widower and live alone so I can't say for certain that this would pass the wife test. But I've definitely done this just prior to being around other people and heard no complaints.

I’m divorced, I don’t have to worry about that shit anymore, thank the almighty Lawd, I work from home too. A good portion of modern men & woman are so conditioned to think tobacco is evil, there is no point to try to change their minds. I used to have to delouse before I walked through the door and shower & brush my teeth (if I was looking to get frisky). My ex always complained about 3rd hand smoke and no, that is not a type o. The funny thing is, it didn’t seem to bother her at all until we got married.

A gal I’m dating now says that she loves the smell of my pipe smoke on my beard… I guarantee you that would change if we got married (which we aren’t).

So, usually it’s change my shirt and brush my teeth. However after pipe club, it’s also take a shower and separate my close from the rest of the dirty ones - I have no idea why, but that’s the request..

That's why absolutely no tobacco blend is called Wedding Ring. I'm divorced and remarried and I've come to realize this phenomenon.
