Only one clay, but it is a stunner imho : a rare antique Colin Lunn ( from Oxford ) Brasenose pipe with a brass band having a regdnr. on it.

It has an insert that looks similar to porcelain. Will probably never part from it.

Looks much better than on the picture .

Here's how to show the image rather than a link to it: Once your photos are on a photo hosting site (such as Imgur.com; Postimage; Dropbox, etc. Photobucket), or on virtually any site, (including this site's album) such as eBay, Amazon, you-name-it, select the full sized image, then Control-click (Mac) or Right-click (Windows) on the image itself, then choose "copy image location" or similar words. Now paste that URL (the full web address, which should end in .jpg or .png) into the IMG box in the reply window of the thread you're posting to.

Don't keep us in suspense. I'm still waiting on my blue Burley.

If I have any energy left after work and then tech training tonight, I promise to have a bowl in it and report back.
I met a gentleman at the last CPCC meeting who said he smokes this brand of pipe exclusively. The cast-in calabash/double bowl system provided cool, dry smoke and pure tobacco flavor. That level of subtlety is lost on me in most instances, but I look forward to the experiment.

The clay mentioned at the start of the post is a GoedeWaagen made in Gouda, a city in The Netherlands. I have a few of these as well as a LePeltier. They are very different, but both are very neutral smokes. The LePeltier has an annoying cork fitting for the stem, which oxidizes at the drop of a hat, but in all other respects is the superior pipe.
And for today’s Dutch lesson of the day, here’s a link to the correct pronunciation of both Gouda and Van Gogh.
