While visiting Texas last month I came across a small B&M in San Marcos. 'Hill Country Humidor' is right
on the square down town. A very 'down home' place to visit with people smoking pipes and cigars, sitting
on benches and sofa's just as you walk in the door. You could tell it had been there for quit some time,
but I had no idea how long until looking it up later. There was a young good lookin' Gal that served me
and helped with all my inquiries. I really wanted a new brier, but being on a vacation budget, ended up
buying a couple of new clay pipes and they threw in two ounces of tobacco, my choice. I told the Gal that
I'm partial to English blends.... not knowing if she knew anything about tobacco. She steered me toward
a house blend call San Antonio Rose, which didn't sound like an English, but I absolutely love it and it's
while trying to get more that I found out the shops story... (I wish Shirley all the luck in the world!)
