So, who is anxious to see it? Having seen Freeman in the new BBC Sherlock series I can't wait to see him play a lead in a motion picture, especially as Bilbo. Also, I believe theaters should be forced to let us pipe smokers puff away in the theater lol.

Apparently they've decided to split it up into 3 parts instead of 2, with part 3 not being released until summer of 2014.

I'm going to see it, luckily there is an 18+ theatre in my city, I not only will be watching it there but I will have a beer to wash down my popcorn too! Martin Freeman is a favourite actor, and also playing three of my favourite characters from literature, Arthur Dent, John Watson, and now Bilbo Baggins!

I only see select movies at the theatre and this will be one of them I can't wait until this is out.I have been trying to find a good copy of the old animated movie forever it is one of my favorite movies from my childhood.I wish the would release a remastered version of it.

Hopefully the decision to take it to three films is a good one. I know they're putting in a lot of back story. I just hope they're not failing to edit the movie properly in favor of showing everything. Lord of the Rings was handled well. I have faith, but am just a bit concerned.
