I finally got a chance to see this. Being a Tarantino fan, it is no wonder that I loved it. I especially liked the real-time feel for much of the movie.
Quentin-sential Tarantino.

I went to see it last week and actually walked out of the movie. Don't want to be a spoiler, so, I won't say what made me walk out, but it was a scene way past what I consider to be entertainment.

PS... Don't blink or you will miss the pipe smoking scene.

"My apologies.
I pushed that a bit far for a generic, rah-rah QT post.
It won't happen again.
Fnord"
No apology needed, for me anyway, Fnord.
I line up with Brad +1

Well, I watched the whole damn thing, smoking a couple of bowls.
Loaded with anachronisms! Is that typical of Tarantino? I liked Pulp Fiction, but this one was so-so. Didn't hate it, didn't like it.
The pipe that Kurt Russell smokes is modern, complete with shiny stem, and the pipe that Samuel Jackson smokes is absurd for the frontier.
The sign over "Minnie's Haberdashery" is 1960's style, also absurd for the time.
Language is equally out of date. I doubt the word "Mother******" was in coinage in the 1870's, nor was the way too often epithet using the N word in vogue (though I wasn't there at the time) (!), nor was there social sensitivity to it, as expressed by one of the characters. Other words would probably also have been used. There were other post 1950 phrases used, but I can't recall more.
