Some of you may of seen my Samuel Gawith post, over the 2013 Limited Edition Tin I recently bought, trying to rehydrate it, but ending up being bitter. It left a bitter ghost in the pipe, then I tried to smoke some SWR in it to remove the ghost, and the SWR tasted moldy, a pouch I only had a few weeks.

Now if this isn’t bad enough, two Tabacs bad in a row, now I start getting a mental ghost burnt into my mind, after reading about someone on the forum, talking about how the Psychological Ghost, can be worse then the Physical Pipe Ghost.

So after all of this happening, I start to relax the other night, finally getting the Ghost out of my head, I turn my TV on, which is just a basic HD TV, that I have a Kindle Fire Stick to make it into a Smart TV, and what do I see when I first turn it on, the WORD, ‘Ghost’!

I mean seriously, you’ve got to be flipping kidding me, this Ghost is certainly trying to haunt me! LOL :ROFLMAO: ?

Actually I thought that would be Ghost Granger! :ROFLMAO:

Crooner can hold its own in the ghost department. This morning, was a Granger-Crooner Parfait. That’s a 3/4 load of Granger topped with Crooner.

I do this often. If I’m ever disssapointed when the Granger awakens, then that blend gets to join my rotation.

Hasn’t happened. But I’m guaranteed a good smoke if even I dislike a new blend.

More often than not I find myself chanting come on Granger, come on out baby.

I enjoy the Crooner. But man I smile when my old friend appears.

Deertongue will ghost up anything, but I love it. I just dedicate a cob to it.

Worst ghost I ever got (not in longevity, but in taste) was from Scotty’s Stonewall, a house blend from P&C. Tasted like vomit. I tried to smoke through it, but nope. The two pipes I tried it in got promptly scrubbed out with 100 proof bourbon after I tasted that nastiness in my other blends. ?
Only tobacco I’ve ever thrown in the garbage. Foul stuff, that. Others seem to like it, but it didn’t agree with me.

I like Crooner a lot but it does ghost a pipe without a doubt. I have a deer cob for my favourite ghosty deertongue blends. A nostalgic old time pipe aroma is generated from Crooner mixed half and half with Half&Half. I also have a jar labeled "Codger Cube" that is two thirds cube cut Newminster 400 and one third Crooner that have been marinating together for a while that is pretty awesome.

PIPEIT - If you want to avoid ghosting of your pipes, you should definitely avoid certain tobacco brands and mixtures; for example:

Examine the label and contents carefully, they may give you a clue as to why you are having an issue with problem ghosting of your pipes which you cannot exorcise. - Sherm Natman

Try Jamming a fresh, juicy-oily piece of orange rind into the bowl of your smelly pipe and leave it there at least overnight, or longer. The citrus oils will go to work, and will usually de-ghost, and exorcise those stubborn, lingering spirits.

I think someone is trying to talk to you. Any one you know that is both dead and a former pipe smoker? Seriously would not surprise me in the least if more weird and more pointed things happen after this. My suggestion be open and see what happens.

Well I turned the TV on last night, and I’ll give you 3 guesses? LOL ?

That Ghost TV show was there again! :ROFLMAO:

Well I certainly understand how orange oil is used in many cleaning and conditioning products, but are you serious, hmm, will this honestly work in pipes? ?

Two of the craziest experiences I've had with t.v. involved ghost shows. One was just the funniest thing I've seen a person say. And the other is something I'll tell you some other time.

I am absolutely serious. Been doing it for years to keep all my pipes fresh, and un-smelly. I love the scent of fresh orange peels, but hey, that's just me.

The juicy, fresh peel of an orange contains essential oils + some moisture that will soak into the cake layer and freshen up a ghosted pipe. The cake layer will become soft and gummy after the moisture from the peel goes to work, and it can be easily scraped away with a flat stick (with square edges) like a popsicle stick or chop stick, or pipe-nail. No need to ream. Most of the ghost is hiding in the cake layers, and mortise gunk. Clean both areas.

Use scrubby pipe-cleaners in the stem, and jam a nice hunk of juicy orange peel into the tobacco hole for a few days. With time, the tightly jammed orange rind will shrink away from the tobacco chamber's walls after a few days and it can be easily plucked out from the bowl. After removing the orange peel, smoke the pipe. The lingering, volatile citrus oils will quickly flash away when the tobacco is lit....but I rather enjoy those short-lived citrusy essences in the first few puffs of smoke. (Navel oranges have the best peels).

You got nothing to lose......try it.
