I've never smoked a cob before. I don't think I have ever seen Missouri Meerschaum pipes in any B and Ms.

I smoke my Jake Hackert cob... It has a horn shank... Had it for about a year and no issues with it

This is a pipe I've been smoking for... well, some several odd years. I don't know

how long..... It smokes great, stays lit and burns cool.

The new compared to the old. (The new pipes are a bit taller now).

Top broke down and bought 2 Generals, one forever STM from walker briar, had a long talk with David Wolf on pipe repair and he was intrigued with Firestove mortar repair which I use to build up bottoms of some pipes, he wanted something that could take the heat, the mortar will take 1100 degrees, I ordered the bent tortoise with the band on one and straight on the other, thanks for the info. The old cajun

Been looking for a pipe to take camping in the mountains that I don't have to worry about getting damaged, lost or whatever. I was told that I should get a cob pipe and that is starting to seem like a really good idea. I might just pick one up tomorrow at my local B&M.
