Another example of using statistics to scare people. IF the numbers are to be believed, the reported deaths from tobacco are one half of one percent of the population of Australia. I dare say that deaths from atuo accidients is a bit higher at 1.4 percent or nearly 3 times.

Of course, we have no idea of how many people were smoking at the time of the auto accidents that claimed their lives; but knowing how governmament statisics are collected they probably do a double count on those.
