I'm talking about the basic Gawith and Hoggarth Kendal Flake -- not the Chocolate or any of the Creams...

It's gone.

"No longer in production" says tobaccoreviews.

"Out of stock" say SP, TP, and Cup'O'Joes.

When did this happen? Was there a death notice? Did anyone write an obituary?

Sign me up if there is a memorial.

It doesn’t surprise me. There have been a lot of GH-SG blends merging or rebranding lately.
My recent was the discontinued Bob’s Square Cut. I purchased the last of it a month ago. It may be worth a search to see if you can source any before it’s completely out of inventory everywhere else as well.
In any event good luck.

I have no feelings about this blend, but I suppose the reason a company wouldn't announce that they are going to discontinue something is that it drums up the crazies.

Lets say Tab soda decides to announce that they will discontinue their nasty drink. Next thing you know, people who haven't drank a Tab in 30 years pop up saying that it was their favorite shity soda as a kid, then a mad rush at the stores for what remains... with people bitching out the company the whole way.

If there is a blend or brand that you can't live without, buy the holy hell out of it, NOW. Because any brand can go under, and any blend can just quietly stop being made. This is your responsibility, not the companies.

That said, I am sorry for your loss.

I emailed GH and Rachel responded that Kendal Flake stopped over 2 years ago and suggestd that Ennerdale flake would be the nearest alternative.
Love this. Tiny companies like the ones in the Lakeland region and others here in USA are happy to communicate with their customers and I love to see it happen.
Sutliff couldn’t have been more helpful all the times I’ve reached out. Same goes for MM, C&D, and Watch City. These are tiny companies folks; reach out to them. It’s been my experience that they want to talk with their customers.

Agreed! It's so helpful to be able to go right to the source to get information.
