The Doodler

The Doodler was made by the late US Pipemaker, Tracy Mincer. It was an innovative idea to make a radiator type pipe which would draw heat away and allow for a cooler smoke.
Keeping it smokey with some Villiagers 1888 After Dinner flakes.

Never seen that approach, though I have seen bowls with rows of deep grooves for air cooling. That's an interesting looker, a conversation piece for pipe clubs and shows.

Yes, I've collected a few of them, though not as fancy looking as that one! Very nice.
