The history of The Danish Pipe Shop in Copenhagen is extremely interesting, and it is a great touching story as well.
I had the pleasure of visiting this historied pipe and tobacco shop a little over a year ago. It's in the heart of Copenhagen, walking distance from the famous amusement park, Tivoli and just across the street from The Square on Strøget - the world's longest Pedestrian Street.
I had the pleasure of meeting the shop owner, Steffen Nielsen, who died suddenly at the age of 71 while walking to the shop, just 150 feet away from the front door. His son tells the story ...

A wonderful store, the best tobacco store in my area and Im a swede!

This is where i bought my first pipe and tobacco, Caledonian highland cream (recomended by Steffen).
If your in Copenhagen, this is a store you must visit!

I was lucky enough to visit this shop back in 2003. I still remember every minute of the visit, and the pipes that I bought that day. I am very sorry to hear of the death of Steffen, but I am happy to know that the shop will continue under his son. It is one of the great pipe shops of the world.
