I didn't see it mentioned on the site, but when you purchase a pipe, you can also get a matching tamper. Guess what I got?! That's right...you've GOT to accessorize. 8)

That's a cool idea but I wonder why they don't bring the clay up even with the top edge of the bowl?

Great way to personalize a pipe, but I wonder how the clay coating will affect the smoking qualities of the cob.

My thinking is that they will smoke hotter than a regular cob.
At any rate, it's something you can have fun with without spending a lot of money. I can see a red, white and blue version to celebrate July 4th.

Good morning Gents!
The price for my custom RoadQueen Special was the same price as the other pricing that you see on the site. I went ahead and actually paid about $3 more for the matching tamper to my pipe.
So far they have been extremely friendly and professional, and the designer emailed me with the same color scheme on a bent apple, and offered to send that instead if I'd rather. I told her to stick it on the website, I'll take both. 8)
I will be sure to check back in once these gems are received and let you know how they smoke.
