I just got a McArthur cob from Mars Cigars in the mail today and it is beautiful. I have to say that cobs are my favourite smoke. Of all the "system pipes" that I've tried; Kirsten, Grabows and fat Germans with filtres, the cob is the best with a "Forever Stem" mouth piece from Walker Briar Works. The pure taste of the tobacco comes through and I can pretty much smoke one all day w/o it going sour.

Yep,I also love my cobs mated up with a Forever Stem
Aside from that what you really need is a much longer username. Other than the number it sounds like the title of a Wagnerian opera!

Close. Actually it's the title of one of the movements from Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde (Song of the Earth): The Drunkard in Spring. Like pipes and tobacco, very beautiful.

Ah... that explains it. I love classical music but I'm not an opera fan and I've never much cared for Mahler. But, just like music tastes can vary including tobacco blends.

Just bought my first corn cob pipe today, a Missouri Meershaum Washington. Looking forward to smoking it for the first time. :puffy:
