Since I work from home, I like having the TV to provide something else to look at and listen to, and maybe block out the kids! hehe I'll watch baseball or hockey (when they aren't locked out), old movies, documentaries, whatever strikes the fancy. I do hit the TVLand morning block too of course...Andy Griffith is on as I write.
But once that's over I've been working my way through my DVD sets of Thriller, Night Gallery, and The Outer Limits...none of which I really watched with regularity as a kid, so it's all kind of new to me. I always had the impression that Outer was rather cheesy, so I never really tried it. Now the special effects can be a bit on the cheese side, but the stories are pretty good.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of older shows, my favorites being: the aforementioned The Andy Griffith Show, Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Leave It To Beaver, and I Love Lucy...I've seen every episode of the above multiple times, and probably intend on working my way through one of the above once I've finished The Outer Limits.

I never was a fan of the Outer Limits but loved Night Gallery. It had a bit more reality and not so...Godzilla like stories and quality. It had the best scary shows on at the time besides maybe Thriller. I watched those every time they were on and missed very little of the Twilight Zone. Rod Serling was a one of a kind and I was surprised he died in his 40's. A great narrator. You might say he was the Walter Winchell of fright.
As for Andy Griffith, he'll never die. I still watch him whenever it's on. From an ad I saw the other day, we're supose to be getting a new channel...channel 10-2 or something like that where nothing but these older programs from the 50-60's era. I can't wait.

For those of you who enjoyed old radio/TV programs, the Kingfish had to be one of the biggest liars, con men, conniver, TV ever had up unto that point. I loved this program and wish you could see them again. See how he gets out of his wife leaving him and turns the tables. Not the best audio but audible.
