The brand "Premier"

Hi everybody.
As I said in my introduction, I'm Italian and I live in Rome.
From my ggfather, via my gfather and then my father, came to me the pipe I show you in the pictures.
The case is branded Premier (may be the maker from Chicago, Illinois?).
The pipe is not wooden made, but I don't know which kind of material is it - red, transparent, maybe a resin or...?)-

Can someone help me to discover more about it?

I don't know if this helps but at pipephil,eu it said the following about Premier Pipes:

"A brand of Reiss-Premier Corp. This corporate used to manufacture pipes with Redmanol stems."

Congratulations on a very fine heirloom

It looks to be
an oxblood meerschaum
ie meerschaum that has been pre-coloured/stained a very dark red or black colour

The metal cap is hallmarked 12carat rolled gold
ie not solid gold

There is a PipesMagazine thread 18th October 2015 with a Redmanol (Bakelite) pipe (ex-member @danielplainview)

Apparently the stem AND bowl are made of Redmanol with a briar bowl insert

It looks like it,the reflection (almost see through) on the shank of the pipe in the bottom picture looks the same as the stem and that it definitely redmanol
