I am reading a book by a Mr. Richard Carleton Hacker, entitled, "Rare Smoke: The Ultimate Guide to Pipe Collecting." It is the second book that I've read by Mr. Hacker. He mentioned that he was a member of this organization. It must be the top tier of the Pipe world.

68 - 70 million pipes per year by 4000 craftsman in 1925, WOW! That’s 17,500 pipes per craftsman (raw numbers). If they worked 365 days, that’s 49 pipes / day. Surely there were stem makers & bowl shapers among other specialty operators in that group of 4,000. Truly amazing.

I offered Greg twenty bucks to pull out a corncob and light it immediately after they put the medal-necklace thing over his head, but he said I didn't understand the French sense of humor. They've gone to war over less.
Greg is too diplomatic. I eagerly await you lighting up a MacArthur at your induction.
