So hard to choose a first smoke out of this delivery, but I have been waiting to taste Jack Knife Plug for so long that I do believe that it will be my first smoke from this order.

Telegraph Hill is some next level tobacco wizardry. Everyone seemed to be out of the 8 oz. cans of it when I ordered but all seem to have them in now. I would order this stuff by the 50 gallon drum if I could. I have just begun to restock my cellar after a long hard year and a half of cunt imposed financial hardship. Thank god all that is over and thank god that I at least got a hefty return thanks to being able to claim all that spousal support. Here's to better days.

Thanks, Phil. ANOTHER blend to add to my TAD list.
OK. So we see the TAD, where's the PAD?

PAD is in the process. I don't buy pipes easily. Even when I have the money I am extremely selective. the top center tobacco is Rattray's Red Raparee. Its an English that a lot of old guys used to urge me to smoke back in the day but that I, for some reason or other, always neglected. I have been wanting to smoke it for a long time so I am really looking forward to it.

I love English tobaccos, let me know how it is when you do smoke it. I may have to pick some up for myself!

Will do briarbird. I just sliced off a few flakes of Jack Knife Plug with my trusty Spyderco Stretch and am waiting for it to dry a bit...weak with anticipation!

You'll be weak in a bit from Vitamin-N. That chit is no joke... Of course, you're no nicotine light-weight like me so you might fare better than I did...

@docrx: The Luciano that I bought is one of the best smokers I own. I will surely buy more of them. that's a lot of pipe for the money.
@brian64: JackKnife Plug is outstanding. Love that deep earthy leather and cocoa with just enough sweetness to keep it from getting too dirty. Greg really has some serious talent!

I can certainly feel the nicotine, but not getting the hot spits and the niccups yet but I am lightly sipping. This is a very good candidate for extensive aging.

Your description sounds quite accurate to me...especially the "earthy/leathery" aspect. I smoked a tin of it a few months back and really enjoyed it. I have 2 more tins that have been aging for several months now...looking forward to getting back to it.
