No alone time in my life, what with a loyal dog and parrot who needs some attention throughout the day.
the dog forces me to exercise my diseased heart. And, he's a phenomenal listener.
that's just being alone with the animals. I always feed the cat before making coffee or having any tobacco. He says hi so glad you're awake. But he doesn't care what music I listen to (never says not in the mood for that right now, doesn't ask me too many questions).

My morning routine is inviolate. Eat breakfast and settle back to smoke my pipe and drink a couple of mugs of dark roast coffee while listening to chamber music online. Oh, by the way, I'm retired and can do whatever the hell I want.

Absolutely. I wake up at 4:00AM every day, even on weekends, so that I can have coffee/read/spend some time with the animals. If I forget to set my alarm and end up sleeping in, I feel like half my day is wasted. I wouldn't say it ruins the rest of my day, it's just... disappointing.

four am is when I start winding down to go to bed in the next hour. I love second shift.

I absolutely need that hour or two of alone time in the morning to get my day started.
Besides my usual stretching routine it also includes the first of the PT sets I do every day.
The problem for me isn’t kids, it’s our dog, Satchel. As soon as I lie down on the mat she thinks it’s playtime. Having a dog jumping on you while trying to do crunchies isn’t the best way to get it done.
