That's a handsome group. The stain is so similar, it looks like they are all from one maker, but I guess that was just the purview of the original owner. I never could have bought the lot, feeling that that would be too impulsive. I would have tortured which one to buy, and ended up missing all but one or two. It's a good catch. Now you just have to refrain from buying others, just enough to keep these in steady rotation.

That’s great, thanks! The maker was a guy Mark Tinsky used to work for!! Wow, wow, wow. I’m even more happy I bought the pipe on a pure whim. Fantastic information, thanks! I thought it might be H or W but never considered the pipe was J and both H & W were present.
Yeah, it's a commonly misread stamp. That's how I got mine for $45. Here's a couple pics of it before cleanup.

Congrats! ??? Nice haul! ?

Which is the Larson, show the markings? Maybe an older one...
The Larson is the canted stack. Picture below.

Writing on one side says “Larson” over “Copenhagen”
and around the shank it says “Handmade” and “Made in Denmark” and also “Selected grain”. Quite a lot of writing around the shank especially considering how thin it is!

If I were to guess I’d say all the pipes were from the late 60s to early 70s and from the same collection. They were all much of a style and I can date the Dunhill to 1972 and the Erickson pipes were 1969 and 1974. The JHW was presumably from about that period but for sure he died in 1983. The Larsen has the look of that period but it’s just a guess on my part, but I’ve seen catalogs from 1960-63 with similar but not identical shapes. I’m pretty pleased with these additions!
