I started to keep a leftovers jar when I bought two ounces of a bulk blend called Natural Cavendish that was neither (and burned like a blowtorch) with the idea that if I could get enough other blends with it I could smoke it. I've added the remains of crossover English blends, some VaPer flake shards, the rest of an ancient tin of Olden Kott, some 1-Q, among others.
It hasn't worked yet. I'll try a bowl every two weeks or so and it still burns the daylights out of my tongue.
Lesson: If you hate something, don't try to "dilute" it; you're only confusing frugality with parsimony. Sometimes it's better to throw it out.
YMMV, of course!

I put all my "scraps" in a jar all mixed together. Then the fun part begins by smoking it, so far I have had good luck with it, meaning the mixture doen't taste like crap. I call the mixure Threads and Thrums. :puffy:

I will smoke a partial bowl if it is enough to bother with. If it's not, I throw it away.

If you mean the bit left from a pouch or tin, yes, mixing it up to a new "blend" is fun and often a tasty surprise. Now, if you're talking about half or third bowls of dottle, that is a whole different (and nasty sounding) ballgame.
As an old dude from a different era...YA AINT SAVIN ROACHES BROTHER,THAT SHIT IS NASTY!!

I save it an a jar. It was smoking some of this that gave me the idea for Miskatonic. Because of rejects from trying to make Miskatonic and remnants of other blends, I have a pound of mixed tobacco called "the Unnameable". It's actually quite good!

I always mix it into the nearest tobacco pouch or jar. Waste not want not.
