Good afternoon, gentlemen, and thank you for having me.
My name is, Tex, and I am a rancher in Wyoming. My screen name here is a reference to my love for hunting with hounds. Bobcat, mountain lions and bears are my favorite pursuits, although the working of the hound is what I like most about the sport. The Hostile Native and I run cattle on a little over 10 sections and we also raise several other types of livestock around the headquarters to help us try to be as self sufficient as possible.
Learning to smoke a pipe is something that I have wanted to do for alot of years and I recently bought my first along with a few different varieties of Captain Black. The more I learn about this new pursuit, the more I realize I have no clue about. Just in my few days of lurking here, I have already learned quite a bit and have picked up a few tips, so thanks for that.
In trying to learn, I decided to go ahead and pick up a few sample packs of tobacco and I'm waiting on them to hurry up and get here now. Also, because I like to study up and research new things, I was able to come across the site for, L.J. Peretti. Lucky for me I have a good friend who has to be in Boston for work very often, so I have already prevailed upon her to make a visit for me. Now I am anxiously awaiting her return to Wyoming with whatever the gentlemen at Peretti's suggested for this novice.
I will cut this off for now, but would be more than happy to answer any questions a person may have. I'm looking forward to getting acquainted with you gents.
Tex
