still have my grandfather's tree brand pocket knife...shaped much like yours, he used it daily to cut plugs out of his "day's work" tobacco squares.
that is a good knife and, indeed, a fine gift.

I have my great grandfather's Case, my grandfather's, and my dad's. Very good knives that last many lifetimes.
