Actually, yeah. On most Internet forums, I can go back and edit posts when I spot a typo, a missing word, or just think of a more elegant way to phrase what I had already posted. Here, I don't have that luxury for long, so I tend to mull a post over and tweak it for a while before I'm ready to hit "Post reply". And naturally, sometimes I navigate away before making a decision, so I do end up with a bunch of half-finished posts in limbo... 🙃

Just go back over the last 6 months posting's in all your other forums and find the experimental prototypes for this, the REAL post in the REAL IMPORTANT forum.

Well, I've been looking for an intern for such purposes but with the labor shortages and all it's difficult but these days I am limiting myself to just posting here and on the nudist piper commune forum.

nope but sometimes I get distracted have to do something else and when I do post the comment it also gets saved. So when I look at it again it's down in the box I am typing in now. And I think dang it I thought I sent that sucker.

Be honest Bob, half the time you probably think dang it thank god I didn't send that sucker...

Yeah, most of us live in a state of induced distraction. For some reason, we have come to believe that multiple inputs are a good thing, multi-tasking and such. Even when we think we are down to one task, we are often dividing our attention trying to keep up with the five or eight things we think we are working on.

Research has shown that even the brightest people, and certainly the rest of us, really only function well at one task or activity at at time. No, we can't really drive a vehicle properly while talking on the phone. A lot of what we take as background music or side conversation constitutes a significant distraction.

We diminish our lives juggling our attention and efforts. Some of that is simply necessary and required, like parenting and other family interactions. But the principle of one thing at a time, to the degree it can be accomplished, is critical to our health and success. Uh, thank you for thinking of me.

I've read many of my messages after I have hit the Enter Button and wondered what the hell have I said. Just so much gibberish none of which makes any sense whatsoever.

Not to worry, kcg, that weird tobacco you put in your pipe will soon be legal and everyone will be able to understand what you say.

Oh, wait. That's the other Dan. Never mind. rotf
