I was on the edge of my seat. I'll admit, I feared it would turn out as a tragedy. I'm glad to be proven wrong and greatly admire all involved.

Well, the Thais and all of us lost a good man in the diver who lost his life, so this spectacular and brave rescue was not without cost, but it was otherwise successful. So glad those kids are out and about and going on with their lives. They grew up a little too fast in several respects. That's not a good way to learn to swim, much less scuba dive. Think of the number of years represented by the cumulative remaining lives of those kids. If I were one of the divers who shepherded one or more of those kids out of the cave system, I'd feel like a second dad to him, a life-giver. It would be a huge satisfaction.
