Thanks cigrnaster! A very happy camper indeed! Just kinda frustrated that I ha e this bad cough and sore throat so smoking would just irritate it more. Oh well hopefully I'll be better by tomorrow and will be able to crack some tins open!
Nice stash of baccy. I have to second that I typically shop off smokingpipes.com. Always great prices on tobacco and usually better prices on pipes. Plus, I love the estates section. Keep waiting for another system Peterson to come in for $60.
Nice stash, Gunnar ! The only thing missing is some good old Irish Flake, that'd take care of your cold, sore throat, and just about anything else for a while.
Good ! Remember that 4noggins stuff I sent you? Irish Flake is probably 2x the nic hit. Very tasty but extremely stout. Sort of like those $10 a bottle Porters.
I was looking at the flame grain and I really like the rosslare finish, somkingpipes had one and that night I was able to come up with the money to buy it and it was already sold. This baccy order actually replaced the rosslare bulldog I was going to buy.
Nice stash you got there gunnar! I see you have a tin of Pelican and Kingfisher, two blends that I look forward to trying when I can get some. I also noticed your hat with the airplanes, are you into aviation?
Surfing smokingpipes.com right now gunnar and they have a Rosslare Royal Irish 150 black sandblast available. Sorry if I've bummed ya lol. Not sure the difference in the 80 and 80s. I thought it was a saddle bit and a regular stem but I could be wrong.
They are the same exact pipe except the "s" has a Saddle stem . I think they make them all "80s" now although there are some marked "80s" that are "80" configuration ( that is, without the saddle stem ).
Thanks! Yes! I have two tins of each. Lovely stuff but really Hard to find. It wa the tin art on the pelican and kingfisher that actually made me want to try pipe tobacco in the first place. However at the time they were instock ( 3 years ago) I was underage. By the time I turned 18 they were discontinued. Yes Iv been into aviation since I was a little little kid. My first word was actually Beechcraft. Iv flown a bonanza Beechcraft for 3 years with a retired Airforce General. Iv been flying radio control airplanes for 12 years. Also I used to build plastic models of airplanes and such. ( haven't had time recently) also Iv used flight simulators since I was about 3 year sold. My dad got me into aviation.
Arhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! If its still there by the end of the week I might make enough to buy it, not likely though. I didnt check their new stock today. Then again I ordered this 7 days ago when it was out of stock. Oh well
