Definately wise to stock up on Peterson, we got a heads up they'll be evaluated for sales in a few years so this is a good way to make sure they stay in production.P&C had a Peterson sale going. That, plus the 20% coupon that got shared on here made it too good of a deal to pass up.View attachment 364285
It’s completely different than the Peterson Elizabethan. The Sutliff is a match for the Murray era Elizabethan (which I’ve never had).Honest question, do you find the quality of theirs to be better than the Peterson/Dunhill Elizabethan or is it just a price thing? I've never tried it but I've seen this (anecdotally) seems to be one of their most popular bulks/matches... just wondered why when the "original" is still readily available...
Pretty much all the match blends have been axed by STG but ironically a few years down the road we'll probably start seeing matches for some of the stuff they got rid of. We might even get some really good stuff that started out as an attempt at a match but became something new entirely. Silver liningsIt’s completely different than the Peterson Elizabethan. I tried the STG Elizabethan and couldn’t even finish the tin-one of the few tobaccos I’ve ever tossed, it was so bad. I think the Sutliff Match Victorian uses their tangy Red Virginia, which I love and will sorely miss when it’s gone.
Thank you, first time trying it so I hope I do too.Cannon Plug is pretty good. Hope you enjoy.
Ahh, the little lies we tell ourselves.I'm hoping this will be my last pipe related purchase of the year.
Or have enough on hand if they don’t!Definately wise to stock up on Peterson, we got a heads up they'll be evaluated for sales in a few years so this is a good way to make sure they stay in production.
I’m interested to hear how you like the North Star and Rodeo.Grabbed a couple of each.

Is that Dark Twist tin meant for long term aging or do you need to jar it?My first Esterval's order came in today and have a few HU products that I haven't tried yet and some favorites.View attachment 364300
Well im 61 and just recently discovered that I love the stuff so I don’t have a lot of time to age but it seems like it would be fine to stash as is but I will jar it up after I finish what I already haveIs that Dark Twist tin meant for long term aging or do you need to jar it?
