Oh boy, I got lucky today - saw a post from the local cigar shop, they were liquidating their Mac Baren bulk jars for ten bucks a piece, no matter how much tobacco was inside. Mrs. KG was kind enough to head over and snag a couple for me ...12 ounces of Mac Baren Navy Flake and 12 ounces of Mac Baren Scottish Mixture for ~21 bucks. Yeeeeehaw!

edit: elevant to the post ...on top of the jars is an 8 oz bag of PS LNF from P&C that came in today - my bag of Evening Flake arrived slashed open and spilled through the box, so they sent this as a replacement (as Evening Flake is now gone for good...sigh) - sucks things were not right, but I appreciate the quick turnaround.

Think I had pretty much the same thing happen, but with Newminster 400. Checked the page right after I got it, and sure enough, boom, already gone.

Hope you're well clear of the inferno zone, my friend! 🤞
Thanks. I'm in the flat area near Griffith Park so no fire so far but plenty of air quality issue. My wife freaked out and ordered 3 air purifiers for our house. Now I'm being slowing driven mad by the droning sound of all 3 devices firing on max speed along with the sound of 24/7 TV coverage of the apocalypse.

Wanted to step out and smoke a bowl but it just felt wrong to do so knowing so many families have lost their homes, including three of my friends.

All the recent panic over Mac Baren and Sutliff's closures seems to have distracted folks from the restocking of a couple harder to come by Gawith blends, so this week I was able to pick up a tin of Fire Dance Flake as well as the ever elusive Glengarry Flake plus a little selection of Cherry, Whiskey, and Rum flavored twists and a tin of C&D Interlude to try.

Fire Dance Flake and Glengarry Flake have both been on my wants list for quite some time but had proven very difficult to get ahold of up until now so I'm really happy to have finally gotten my paws on some! I also nabbed a pair of cigar scissors for cutting the Gawith twists.puffy

Glengarry and Interlude are two of my favorites. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do
