Just started on my GH journey and enjoying every toke , might be what your looking for , very well blended with the lightest of natural topping , my only problem is I didn't discover while it was still bet obtainable , seems like any GH blends are always sold out , try some if you can get it , if not , orlik or erinmore might fit the bill too .

Some of my favorite sweet natural blends are Fribourg & Treyer Cut Virginia Plug, Capstan Blue Flake, Astleys no 44 Dark Flake, Fribourg and Treyer Special Brown Flake. John Aylesbury Luxury Flake. Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake, Wessex Brown Virginia Flake, Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster. Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky, Mac Baren Modern Virginia Flake, Mac Baten Navy Flake and many more. Some are easier to find than others but I have everyone of them cellared fairly deeply.

I am just finishing a bowl of 2004 Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake that is savory and has a good amount of full bodied sweetness like from raisins and figs. I fold and stuff all of my flakes and have found they smoke cooler, dryer and full of flavor. When there is some moisture in the flakes as for my tastes a dry and crumbly flake smokes to fast and hot and looses flavors.

Im not so new to this. Been smoking a pipe for over two years. Va/pers mostly taste spicy to me. Had some escudo yesterday and definitely was not sweet. Have not had good results with FVF. More ashy than sweet. And yeah, Ive dried it, packed loosely, sipped, been careful with the flame etc. Just havent been able to enjoy it. I have a tin of orlik golden sliced that i need to try.
Orlik GS was one I was going to suggest. Have you tried it yet? If so, thoughts?
MB Virginia No.1 is also rather good.

You might be looking for what many of us call semi-aros.
If so, I highly recommend Orlik Racing Green and Orlik Mellow Mixture.

You could also try mixing a straight Virginia, Burley or a combination of both to aro's to make them suitable for your tastes.
I'm not a fan of goopy or overly sauced aro's so I simply tone them down with a straight baccy.
Mixing an English with a small amount of aromatic can also produce a nice change of pace.

As I'm reading what sounds like a rather nice list of blends, it kinda sucks that I've not tried a single one of them except for MB Navy Flake [Very nice]
