I have a couple of tins of Edward G. in the cellar as well.
Sutliff bought the name and the recipe for that one, so they can't really be credited with it. It's not terrible, but as a fan of Edward G., I often wonder if a top-shelf blender had bought it and used better tobaccos, would I like it better than I do. I recall smoking it back in the 70s, and liking it better than recently, but I honestly can't say why, so I can't blame Sutliff. And no, I didn't dry it out back then either. Never did that intentionally with any blend. But perhaps it was drier having sat on the drugstore shelf for a long time. Someday I'll try another go at EGR.

Smoked my second bowl. Happy to report it was just as tasty. I guess I want to get several ounces before it disappears forever.
When are all these tobaccos supposed to go away? And how do you store an aromatic without losing all the flavor? I've read they can go "flat" and other tobaccos (VAs particularly) get better with age.

Am smoking a bowl in an MM Little Devil Acorn. Can tell I need to dry it more, but has a very nice pumpkin flavor and room note without any sign of biting. Very damp out of the bag, but will likely order more! :puffy:

Smoking Sutliff's Rum & Maple. Getting some tongue bite out of this one. Less sweet than the pumpkin. I only get hints of the maple in taste but is apparent in room note. The rum comes through more for my tongue. Not even halfway through the bowl so these are initial impressions.
I was blown away by Pumpkin Spice and want to get more.

I'll give it another try. I had no trouble with the pumpkin spice or the Cherrybomb that turned me onto trying Aros again. I did have trouble keeping it lit. I think I was putting hard to get it going. Maybe too wet. I usually dry Aros for around an hour but only let this one sit for 15 minutes.
